It was right the success of the last mission to decree the real possibility to make Space Hero, the first reality where the partecipants can win a space travel.
Even though the idea was around already since the 2009 between the colossus of the TV, the accidents that signed the recent history of the human in the space, discouraged the producers, even the most visionary ones.
A common hero
If you think that this kind of travels are reserved to astronauts and billionaires, you must re-think about it. In Space Hero it will be right a common person to be chosen to become a hero. The hero of all the ones stucked in front of the TV that will follow the selection in realtime and hope, maybe one day, to be able to partecipate.
The chosen one will be sent to the International Space Station and he will be the living symbol of the possibility that everyone can realize this amazing travel.
The biggest prize every seen in TV
The brilliant concept is the one to find a common person and let him win a dream travel and all of it thanks to the magic of a reality that will be shown to the whole world.
Even this is a unique step forward in the history of the TV. If now we are used to the concept of reality, it might be surprising to be part of a global audience. The partecipants of Space Hero will be infact chosen random to represent all of us, no matter the language or the nationality.
The program will be shown in streaming in direct on the network of all the countries. To solve the problem of the multilingualism, there will be a team of translators that will allow the audience to follow the program with subtitles in their own language.
Space Hero or even advertising in the space
Beyond the glossy cover of this beautiful project, we don’t have to forget that Space Hero is a massive investment. The global broadcast, the live translators, the costumes and all is around this unique event will have a cost.
For this reason it will need the support of some sponsor. Maybe it will be the first possibility in the history of the TV for a patron to be sponsored up to the space.
The tests to pass in Space Hero
The partecipants must be ready to undergo physical, psychological and aptitude proofs, right like a real astronaut. Mike Suffredini, manager NASA of the program of training for the travels toward the International Space Station, will follow the correct development of the selection.
Therefore the candidates will be assisted by the astronauts that will go with them through the proofs, by being their coaches.
The winner of Space Hero will be hosted inside the International Space Station for about ten days. Before to come back, he will have the possibility to do 16 times the circle of the Earth at the speed of 27.353 km/h.
Interstellar travels key-in-hand
Space Hero seems to really represent the beginning of a new era: the New Space Economy that plans to make the space a service. For this reason even the ‘free movement’ for the citizens is promoted.
The spaceship that will be used to send the winner in the space will be the SpaceX Dragon Capsul that already successfully did some missions of this kind. In a small note the producers of Space Hero mention though that, currently, isn’t decided yet who will be the provider of the launch.
So, it seems to be all ready, unless a small detail: how to send the spaceship in the space.
