The international launch of the new Honor View 20 will happen the next 22nd of January in Paris, as it was announced in China during the presentation’s event.
It is a smartphone to surely add to the list of the other top of the line devices, thanks to a data sheet riches of functions and in line with the latest trends both aesthetical and technical.
Maybe it is the most astonishing characteristic of Honor View 20: it is, infact, equipped with a back camera of 48 Megapixels.
The sensor is Sony and it’s called IMX586 which, combined with a sensor TOF 3D, allows to make a three-dimensional scan of the subject in the shot, by catching more details.
In the night mode, the maximum resolution achievable is 12 Megapixels, a really satisfying result.
There are interesting news even about the section of the front camera. Honor, infact, took the decision to not use the classic notch on the upper part of the screen, but to introduce the one that will surelly become the trend of the 2019: the hole on the screen.
Honor View 20 has a display IPS LCD of 6,4 inches. The relation of the screen’s sizes is 19,25:9 and on the upper band there is a hole of 4,5 mm inside which there is the front camera with a resolution of 25 Megapixels.
Thanks to this aesthetical and technological choice, the relation screen to body of this device is between the highest on the marketplace and it goes around the 91%. Precisely we are talking of 91,82%.
The processor on the Honor View 20 is a Kirin 980 and it goes with a RAM of 6 or 8 GB and with an internal memory of 128 or 256 GB. The internal memory can be expandable with an external memory card MicroSD.
Honor View 20 has, obviusly, the last version of Android: Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0 as personalised graphic interface. If connected to a monitor, the device can be used like it was a PC.
The biometric sensor is placed on the back of the device. The charging of the battery takes place through a door USB Type C. It is a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh and with the support of the quick charge (Super Charge).
The jack audio is the classic 3,5 mm. The colouring available will be black, blue and red with the classic games of light tipical of the company Honor that, in this case, will reproduce a V which means View, the name of the smartphone.
In China the device will be sold starting from the 28th of december with a price of 2999 Yuan, which are around 381 Euros, for the basic version (6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory). It can arrive to 3499 Yuan (about 445 Euros) for the version with a RAM of 8 GB and a memory of 128 GB.
The top model with maximum RAM (8 GB) and maximum memory (256 GB) was called “Moschino Edition” and it will cost 3999 Yuan (around 508 Euros).
By the way, those are just predictions, because to know the exact prices we will need the presentation’s event that, like said before, will be the next 22nd of January in Paris.
The teaser image of the invite to the presentation of the new Honor View 20 reveals the presence of the front camera in a hole on the display.
Looking well the image we can see how it is masked by the Moon, so to create the doubt on the most carefull minds and to not spoil the surprise effect during the presentation.
As follow the comment of Andrea Galeazzi, passionated of technology and blogger, which already had the possibility to try the new Honor View 20:
During the trip to the CES in LAS Vegas I brought with me the Honor View 20 to try it on the field. It worked really well, especially about the battery. That surprised me!
Great pictures, the general fluidity, the speed and, especially, really great the design. It was really appreciated by all…
But for the final review I let you wait for the review that will arrive in few days. And let’s meet the 22nd of January, in Paris, for the official launch!!
